I Have a Shop!

Earle May

So apparently May has become the month of just doing things that have been lurking about on my goals list for far too long.

Firstly starting this blog has been so much fun and I have no idea what took me so long to get stuck in. I have many, many ideas for posts and I cannot wait to get them down on *virtual* paper.

Secondly my boyfriend and I have opened an Etsy Shop selling some of our bulging vintage collection. My weekend will be spent taking cute photos of the items and getting them ready for sale.

We have named the shop Earle May after our cute, vintage middle names, Earle and May! My boyfriend shares his unique middle name with his father and grandfather and I am named after my Mum’s sister who passed away as a baby. I adore the name May and love having a link to my Aunty.

Please be sure to check back with Earle May Vintage soon as we have lots of awesome pieces ready to go online.

Fluffy Stool DIY

DSCN3481.jpg

Living in a small home calls for multipurpose furniture. There isn’t room for multiple armchairs and side tables so I love having a few little stools around to use as additional seating when friends come over or somewhere to stack a pretty pile of books.

I am addicted to mid century furniture to the point that I can spot their sophisticated, tapered legs anywhere. Case in point this stool, this little baby caught my eye whilst driving past a charity shop a few months ago. After a dramatic u-turn and $5 she was mine!

Although this stool has great legs the green vinyl just had to go. I had been looking around online and in-store for cute furry stools but it seemed crazy to pay hundreds of dollars (I’m looking at you goat skin stool!) or more when a DIY option was much more affordable and super easy.

Welcome to Olive Kisses

IMG_8567

Hello and a Happy Sunday to you!

Thank you for finding my little nook of the internet where I will be journaling what I cook, create and love in my home and life.

After years of adoring blogs and dreaming of creating my own here we are with Olive Kisses…

Before we go any further perhaps I should clarify that I DON’T actually kiss olives, rather my adorable Bedlington Terrier fur-baby is named Olive. She is the most adorable dog who makes fans wherever she goes (seriously at our local dog parks people know her by name) and I love her to bits!

Please leave a comment below so we can get to know each other and follow along with me via Instagram (see the link in the sidebar!) and Bloglovin

I would love you to pop in soon, sit back and enjoy with a cup of tea!
